Support the new generation. Share your experience. Give back
For years, sub-Saharan Africa has suffered from a brain drain — talent leaving the continent to study and work abroad.
But today, things are changing.
More and more young professionals want to come back. They want to contribute, build and thrive on the continent. And what they need is not just advice — it's real support, from people who are already on the ground.
Many of us are already mentoring informally — friends, cousins, former classmates...
Passerelle Africa offers you to do this with more impact, at the service of talents who are not necessarily in your direct network — but who need your perspective.
You don't need to have studied abroad to become a mentor. You don't have to be a CEO either. You just need to be a professional based in Africa, ready to share your experience.
We are looking for people who:
Work in sub-Saharan Africa
Understand local professional realities
Believe in the potential of African talent and in the importance of transmitting
Can devote 1 hour per month per mentee, for 3 months
Mentor match
You can support between 1 and 5 mentees,
mentor integration
We provide matching and a short onboarding session
Meet virtually with your mentee once or twice a month
Help them think, focus, and take action
Sharing candid feedback on the local context
Encourage — and challenge — when needed
It's not about finding someone a job.
It's about helping someone gain clarity and chart their path — just like someone may have done for you.
